Life is what we make of it

The trick is in what one emphasizes. We either make ourselves miserable, or we make ourselves happy. The amount of work is the same.

love

everyone says that love hurts, but that's not true.
loneliness hurts. rejection hurts. losing someone hurts.
envy hurts. everyone gets these things confused with love,
but in reality, love is the only thing in this world that
covers up all the pain and makes someone feel wonderful again.

The most important thing in life is to stop saying "I wish" and start saying "I will." Consider nothing impossible, then treat possibilities as probabilities.

It's so funny how we set qualifications for the right person to love, while at the back of our minds we know that the person we truly love will always be an exception.

doodleriffic!

So Gus being the awesome boy that he is, surprised me with a Bamboo Tablet by Wacom yesterday, so I think I may start using this blog to post some doodles up as well as my quotables and random thoughts.

We were busy eating dinner and watching the premiere of One Tree Hill (which was amazing as usual) last night, so I haven't had a chance to set it up yet, but i'm quite excited to open it up and play with it tonight.

He's the best ever. <3

words to live by

Do more than exist; live.
Do more than touch; feel.
Do more than look; observe.
Do more than read; absorb.
Do more than hear; listen.
Do more than listen; understand.
Do more than think; ponder.
Do more than talk; say something.

p.s. - overdue for a real update, but im working up to it. ;)

That's the way things come clear, all of a sudden, and then you realize how obvious they've been all along.

There are two kinds of people in your life.
The ones that are going to pick you up,
and the ones that are going to push you down,
but in the end, you'll thank them both.

Listen all ya'll, Its a sabotage!

So I come in to work this morning, start up my computer, sit down to start working, and realize I've been sabotaged!

This is what I found.

a post-it note taped over the sensor on my mouse

and

this little contraption. [a rubber band hooked by paperclip to my keyboard slider so that when I pull it out, it bounces right back in]

ahahaha. come to find out, these shenanigans were the doing of my coworker's boyfriend who came in with her over the weekend and decided to have a little fun while she was looking for files and sorting her take-home work.

i'm still laughing.

and I also have MAJOR news, but I wanna add pictures for that post too, so i'll keep everyone on the edge of their seats for a bit longer. ;)

There's a point in your life where you're disillusioned and where you go from being a naive person who will trust basically anyone... to the realization that not everyone is good and not everyone is well-intentioned. Then it becomes your decision how to deal with that—whether to become bitter and cynical right off or whether to become a good person and just be more cautious in seeing who's trustworthy and who isn't.

Update

Coming soon.

I actually have some stuff to write about, but I'm currently horrendously swamped with work, and on my breaks I've been working on getting my 8 hours of traffic school completed. [due by the 28th and I of course, waited til the last week to start it. doh!]

Until then, I leave you with something funny. Enjoy!

What most people need to learn in life is
how to love people and use things
instead of using people and loving things.

Neener neener

I got an iPhone! I got an iPhone.

neener neener neener

Go see Gus's Blog for the full story of how it all became a reality, because he already typed it out, and after having a crazy busy morning at work, i feel like taking a short-cut and being lazy while I sit here and nurse the rest of my Pomegranate Rockstar.

I WILL however add in that this is hands down the most amazing device I have ever used. The 3G is surprisingly fast on webpage load times, the text messaging format is great, mobile me made it INSANELY easy to re-enter all of my contacts, the GPS/Google Maps service seems to be working like a charm for the most part... and best of all, I got all of this by selling my OLD phone for exactly the same price I used to buy this one.

Favorite apps so far:

Shazam
Remote
Myspace
Pandora
Yelp

And those are just the free ones that I've downloaded.

Freaken RAD.

AIM is a little shoddy... and doesnt seem to be working too great, but hopefully they'll get it all worked out and get a better version up and running shortly. It's a small price to pay for all the other stuff you get, so the pros definitely outweigh that one con.

Lastly, I have to give a big THANKS to Gus for teaming up and doing the family plan with me which will save us a little bit on the bill considering I still have the little problem of being in contract with T-Mobile til October of next year, and since it's a family plan on T-Mobile and my mom is happy with it, I really don't wanna fork out $400 bucks to cancel both our lines and screw her out of a service she's happy with. So yeah... Gus = Awesome. As per usual. <3

Hope you all are doing wonderfully! xx

TGIF. That's all i gotta say.

The last few days at work have been hectic and a half. So much so that I even broke my new rule of no alcoholic beverages during the week, and cracked open a beer last night. Mmmmm. Stella Artois is my homegirl.

To start off the weekend, Gus and I are going to yet another movie screening tonight [see his earlier blog for info on the last one we went to]. Not exactly sure what we have in store, or even a description for this one. The flier just said: "A major Hollywood studio invites you and a guest to be among the first to see a new action adventure movie, due to be released into theatres later this summer." We're pretty excited. And luckily, we've had fantastic luck with screenings and every one we've seen has been pretty awesome. *knocks on wood*

Not exactly sure what the plans are for Saturday yet, but Sunday we're gonna go show some love for Eddie and head out to Willow Springs. Gus unfortunately won't be driving in this event because his clutch feels like its about to go, so his car isn't exactly in proper shape to take a beating, but it'll still be fun. And it'll give Gus a chance to get out there and snap some pictures with his Rebel.

Should be another fun weekend. =)

p.s. - i'm purposely trying really hard to be as negative as I can about the new iphone because i really want one, but after calling t-mobile yesterday I found out my contract isnt up til October of NEXT year. LAME! Damn you Apple. Why could'nt you have paired up with T-Mobile instead of stupid AT&T?

Mmmmm

Me and Gus have the best little sushi place ever. its called Shoguns. Cheap. Yummy. and awesome.

Just got done grubbin on some BSCR rolls, black california rolls, tuna rolls, salmon sashimi, and asahi beer of course.

Now we're headed out to go see Get Smart with Eddie and Jess at the Santa Anita Mall.

Good times. =)

Oh and we got new toys today too, but I'll post about those later when I have a picture and a little more time.

Well hello hello.

Haven't used this thing much since i signed up for it to read/comment on susan's wedding blog, but since Gus, Eddie and Jessica all have one now too, I think maybe i'll start actually using it.

Im in the midst of cleaning and organizing, so i'll keep this short and sweet, but until the next post, check out my new slideshow for some fun pictures. =D

Hmmmmm

Hmmmmm.

So Ive created this blogger thing... primarily to read about Susan's awesome wedding stuff, but who knows-- it could turn out being therapeutic to have a new place to ramble and write and outlet my crazy thoughts.

p.s. - Hi Susan! ;)
